...prayer...

prayer is
a surrendering
to what is
& faith in
what is
to come.

surrender requires faith that what you ask for is yours.
it opens channels of receiving
& allows the universe support you.
creating space for
the desires of your heart
to unfold.

...together...

seek those who lift you up
& encourage you to be
all you dream of being.

together, we can achieve
what seemed impossible
when we were dreaming alone.

...the cover...

out beyond ideas of
wrongdoing & rightdoing,
there is a field.
i will meet you there.

when the soul
lies down in that grass,
the world is too full
to talk about.

ideas, language,
even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
the breeze at dawn
has secrets to tell you.

don’t go back to sleep.
you must ask for
what you really want.

don’t go back to sleep.
people are going
back and forth
across the door sill
where the two worlds touch.

the door is round & open.
don’t go back to sleep.

[ the cover of my sketchbook for #thesketchbookproject ]

do you see her walking into the portal
or facing forward?

.

when i first begin painting her,
i saw her facing me.
& her hand with the blessing symbol.

then when i looked at her later,
she appeared to be walking into
this secret garden -
this round & open door.

...the sketchbook project...

last year, I ordered a sketchbook for #thesketchbookproject
but never started it.
.
this year I ordered another one to complete during #the100dayproject
but the shipping was delayed due to the virus.
.
so I got creative, literally.

I took apart my sketchbook from last year
and started painting the pages.
knowing my book for this year would arrive eventually.
.
happy to say, all my pages for the sketchbook project are filled
& my new sketchbook has arrived.

still need to design the cover pages.
.
finally!

I will have a sketchbook to send off
something I’ve wanted to participate in for years.
